About Fillip Kosorukov — Founder, Researcher, Solo Builder

I’m Fillip Kosorukov — a founder, published psychology researcher, and solo builder based in Indianapolis. I build software products that sit at the intersection of behavioral science and technology, with a focus on helping individuals and small businesses navigate problems that don’t have obvious solutions.

This is the longer version of the story. The shortest version is on my home page; the academic version is on my ORCID record. This page is for the people who want to understand how the pieces connect.

My Background

I grew up in a family where ideas were taken seriously, arguments were common at the dinner table, and curiosity was treated as a virtue. That shaped a lot of how I think today — I still find it hard to accept surface-level explanations for anything, and I’d rather understand a problem deeply than move past it quickly.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of New Mexico in 2020, graduating summa cum laude and earning Dean’s List recognition. From August 2018 to May 2020, I worked as a research assistant with the MATEO Lab (Motivation, Addiction, and Temporal decision-making in Emerging-adult Outcomes) at the University of New Mexico.

I am a co-author of a peer-reviewed paper on protective behavioral strategies and heavy drinking following a motivational interviewing intervention. The paper is also listed on my Google Scholar profile and ORCID record.

The effects of protective behavioral strategies on heavy drinking following a pure motivational interviewing intervention. Journal of Substance Use, 2023. PubMed · DOI

The through-line of all that work was the same question that still drives everything I build: why do people make the decisions they make, and what can be changed at the margins to produce better outcomes?

What I Build

I operate several projects from Indianapolis. Each one, in its own way, applies behavioral-science thinking to a problem where traditional approaches fall short.

FixMyRecord.io is a private online-footprint and reputation-audit service. It helps people see what appears publicly under their name, separate likely matches from same-name noise, and understand realistic correction, privacy, or removal options. The behavioral-science piece: reputation management is traditionally expensive and opaque, designed for wealthy clients. FixMyRecord makes this kind of evidence review more accessible without promising automatic removal or acting as a background check.

Resilient Capital LLC is my momentum-based trading firm, focused on high-quality setups in equity markets. I keep public process notes on my trading page.

Through Resilient Properties, I own and manage two properties that I renovated and now rent out.

My past projects include LocalMention, an AI visibility project.

How I Think About Work

Three principles guide almost everything I build:

1. Behavior change happens at the margins. Most interventions fail not because the idea is wrong but because they demand too much change too quickly. The interesting design problem is usually: what’s the smallest shift that produces a meaningful difference? My psychology research was about exactly this. My software products try to be exactly this.

2. Build for people who’ve been told they don’t count. Reputation management as a service was invented for the 1%. Data broker removal used to require attorneys. I keep building tools for the other 99% — the individuals and small business owners who need the same capabilities without the price tag.

3. Write to think. I publish on my blog, on Substack, Dev.to, and Hashnode. Writing forces me to clarify ideas I’d otherwise leave vague. It also creates accountability — once I’ve committed to a view in public, I have to defend it or update it.

Outside Work

I’m based in the Indianapolis metro area with my partner and our dog. I trade the US equity markets daily, study psychological research on behavior change and decision-making, and spend a significant portion of each year traveling — Iceland, the Balkans, Italy, and various US national parks have been recent favorites.

I continue to follow research on behavior change and decision-making, particularly how findings on motivation, cognitive load, and temporal discounting apply to AI-mediated decisions and digital identity.
